Wild Peacocks @ Abandoned Home

What an phenomenal treat after a five-mile walk down gorgeous Longboat Key beach - a flock of wild peacocks posed for me at an abandoned home on Broadway! Peacocks are the modern day Phoenix that rises from the ashes of its burnt body for an incredible new, invigorated life.

In Ted Andrew's Animal Tarot Deck, the peacock is the Ten of Swords - some consider the most challenging card of the Minor Arcana. The card depicts a very dead man on a shore with ten swords stuck in his back surrounded by a pool of blood. An image of the card is included at the end of the album.

For me, the card is exciting as it says whatever is tormenting me mentally (Swords relate to Air | Mental) is done, dead, complete - it is time to completely let go and prepare for new beginnings in my life. When challenges are let go with love and patterns are broken, the new coming in promises to catapult one into amazing dimensions. As a Scorpio, I am intrigued with death and love the promise of rebirth along with new beginnings.

I invite you to find what in your life is no longer useful and serving you - let go so the Peacock | Phoenix may bring forth promise of rebirth and new beginnings through the death of that no longer of service. Remember to have FUN!!!!!

P.S. These pictures were taken in 2012 and a testimony to how much I learned over the past 2 years. Hopefully, I will be graced with another peacock photo shoot this summer while on Longboar Key.
