ODE to WILL
In early April, 2014 the first duckling brood hatched at the Peachtree Heights Duck Pond. Thanks to a fellow walker's tip, I captured the brood of six duckling hours of hatching.
Within days the brood reduced to one sole survivor named WILL - for his Will to Survive! Over the next several weeks I gave almost daily FB updates on WILL's well being and he garnered an impressive following.
My heart sank the first day I visited the Duck Pond to find his Mother alone, no WILL. Two more visits confirmed our feisty little guy most likely became a tasty snack for the pond snapping turtles or other predators.
This album is my ode to a powerful little being who spoke directly to my heart on so many occasions. I know his spirit soars and he is most pleased with his short, yet powerful life.
