    05-17-17 The Myakka State Park wetlands are dehydrated from the current severe drought. Stubs remain along the wetlands edge from the controlled burn last year. It was amazing to walk in the former swamp and witness the plethora of life remnants from more hydrated times.

    05-28-18 What a difference a year makes! A year ago during the drought, the wetlands were dry and filled with vibrant yellow flowers. With the recent torrential rains, the wetlands are completely flooded. Photos were taken at the same spot almost one year to the day apart.
