Feisty White Egrets
A small heron, the Snowy White Egret is common along the North & South America coastal areas as well as in interior marshy wetlands. Known for its bright yellow feet & brilliant white plume, the egret uses it feet to stir up and catch shallow water prey. Slaughtered for its plumes in the 19th Century, the breed recovered once protective regulations were enacted. The tenacious, intense Snowy White Egret reminds us showy behavior may bring unwelcome drama into our lives. Yet the drama will remedy itself if we retreat into our hearts and let events flow without our participation.
